Revstar combines Japanese innovation and traditional art. Modern equipment enhances playability, versatility and sound, while the traditional design harkens back to classic Yamaha electric guitars from 1966.
A new standard
With two pickup configurations available, a 5-way switch and a Focus Switch, the new Revstar Standard is enviably versatile.
Body with internal cavities and special acoustic design
Revstar Standard guitars have an internal cavity body designed to shape tone and reduce weight, as well as carbon inserts in the neck area to improve vibration transmission.
5-position switch
Featuring the same 5-position switching as the Revstar Professional, the phase shift in positions 2 and 4 offers a fresh take on classic "in-between" sounds.
Focus Switch
The push/pull tone control activates a passive boost with an effect similar to high-impedance pickups - darker highs, stronger mids and lows, and an aggressive character.
Selection of pickups
The RSS20 and RSS20L feature humbuckers, while the RSS02T offers P90-style singles. All pickups are specially designed by Yamaha and use Alnico V magnets for powerful sound.
