Synthesizer CASIO SA-80

The SA-80 synthesizer is a novelty for 2023 from CASIO, which will soon replace the SA-76/77/78 models. This is an instrument for entry-level musicians, but if earlier mini-key synthesizers were developed exclusively for preschool children, then with a change in characteristics, they have become more versatile.

Sound
Thanks to the new sound chip, CASIO has increased the polyphony from 8 to 32 voices, which in itself is an indicator of a fairly decent level of synthesizers. If earlier models of the series focused on children's timbres, then in CASIO SA-80 the main attention is paid to the sound of basic instruments: piano, electric piano, percussion and brass.

Layer function

With the built-in Layer function, you can layer tones on top of each other and play two instruments simultaneously in unison. In addition, one of the four types of reverb can be added to each tone and sustain can be used, which makes the sound of a note slightly longer and has an effect similar to that of a right-hand piano pedal.
