The pinnacle of Guild's Starfire line, the Starfire VI is all glitz, glamor and great tone. This guitar features the iconic double-cutaway body shape with a solid spruce center block and unique LB-1 Little Bucker pickups - exact replicas of the scaled-down Guild humbuckers of the 1960s. The neck is made of three pieces of mahogany and maple with a vintage "soft U" profile, complemented by an ebony fingerboard inlaid with stunning V-blocks of natural mother-of-pearl and abalone. A signature Guild vibrato, a Tune-O-Matic bridge with an ebony base, and original Grover Sta-Tite pegs complete the picture.

Semi-hollow design

The semi-hollow slim-body design of the Starfire VI combines the advantages of solid-body and hollow-body electric guitars. The hollow wave maple "wings" give your sound more warmth and detail, and the solid spruce center block helps avoid the typical drawbacks of semi-acoustic electric guitars - buzzing and the risk of feedback when played at high volumes.

Comfortable three-part mahogany and maple neck

Multi-piece frets are much stronger and stiffer than solid frets, and this design is also very resistant to twisting and warping over the years. The vintage Soft U-profile of the neck rests gently in the hand, guaranteeing exceptional playing comfort.

Signature Little Bucker humbuckers

The Guild Starfire VI is equipped with a pair of scaled-down LB-1 "Little Bucker" humbuckers. These pickups were developed in the 1960s as an alternative to singles (single-coil pickups). The Little Bucker's tonal character is somewhat of a cross between a traditional single and a vintage PAF humbucker, offering a brighter attack and more ring than the PAF, but a noticeably tighter and warmer tone than the singles. Add to that a three-way switch, individual volume and tone controls for each sensor, and a separate master volume control, and you'll understand just how great the Starfire VI can sound, regardless of the music genre!
