The body of this guitar received a traditional two-cutaway shape, based on the legendary Guild Starfire model. A partially hollow maple construction with a mahogany center block allows for the transparent surround sound characteristic of Guild's legendary semi-acoustic electric guitars, while increasing sustain and reducing the likelihood of acoustic feedback. The traditional 24.75" scale length and modern thin U-shaped neck profile provide excellent playing comfort, while two signature HB-2 humbuckers deliver a rich vintage sound.

Semi-hollow design

Semi-hollow center-block construction (hollow on both sides and with a solid block of wood running through the center) gives the Starfire I DC classic tone and outstanding Guild vintage character, while eliminating the typical drawbacks of semi-acoustic electric guitars - hum and risk the occurrence of feedback when playing at high volume.

HB-2 branded humbuckers

Thanks to HB-2 pickups with Alnico magnets Guild Starfire I DC is able to reproduce an incredibly wide range of guitar sounds. These pickups are packed with full-bodied sustain, with the signature PAF warmth to satisfy even the most discerning guitar tone connoisseur.
