Electric guitar GUILD Surfliner (White Sage)
Electric guitar GUILD Surfliner (White Sage)
An electric guitar with a vintage offset design and a modern character!
The all-new Guild Surfliner was inspired by the iconic heritage and eccentric shapes of vintage Guild guitars, and complements the brand's line-up, combining classic style with modern features in an attractive asymmetrical solid wood body. The Surfliner received a comfortable "cold" maple neck with a scale of 25.5", an ergonomic glossy poplar body and a versatile HSS combination of Guild LB-1 and DeArmond Aerosonic pickups.
Meet the Surfliner!
Charisma and Affordability - Guild's Surfliner takes the sleek asymmetric style of a vintage 60's offset guitar and infuses it with modern features aimed at guitarists who want an affordable yet reliable instrument with great sound and a custom design. The Surfliner's lightweight body is made from poplar, and the asymmetric shape with an offset waist provides unparalleled comfort when playing both sitting and standing. The 22-fret ergonomic maple neck has a matte finish and provides fantastic playability regardless of the musical genre.
What about versatility? The Surfliner has it in abundance, boasting an HSS pickup configuration consisting of two DeArmond Aerosonic singles and an LB-1 mini humbucker in the bridge. Completing the picture is a Tune-o-matic bridge combined with string-through-body construction - ideal for players who like an offset look but prefer a fixed tailpiece and tuning stability.
Universal HSS sensor configuration
Although the Surfliner's design takes inspiration from the 60s models, its upgraded pickup combination can cover almost any style of music you want to play! The Guild LB-1 bridge humbucker is somewhat of a cross between a traditional single and a vintage PAF humbucker, offering a brighter attack and more ring than the PAF, but a noticeably tighter and warmer tone than the singles. Its sound is equally good with a ringing twang as well as overloaded aggressive rock solos. The two single Aerosonic pickups in the center and near the neck are ideal for players who want a more traditional offset sound with a distinctive ring and crystal clarity of every note.
The Surfliner's tone is controlled by three Guild Rocker switches - each pickup has its own individual switch, allowing guitarists to get all possible combinations for a three-pickup configuration!
