Electric guitar FGN EOS-ASH-M ODYSSEY EXPERT SERIES (See-Thru Blue Burst)
Body made of swamp ash

Ash enjoys the well-deserved fame of a very musical tree - dense bottoms and sharp tops, aggressive and elastic sound.

Gotoh pegs and tremolo

Japanese Gotoh fittings have been used in the manufacture of high-end tools for many years, thanks to the high quality of manufacture, long service life and good functionality.

Low Setting Set Up (L.S.S.) Deep neck setting for maximum playing comfort

Fujigen specialists have developed an original method of fastening the neck to achieve a tighter connection between the neck and the body of the guitar. The angle at which the neck is connected to the body is a critical factor in tuning stringed instruments. Although the overall string height is adjusted via the bridge, our original L.S.S. allows you to set the strings extremely low for maximum playing comfort.

Circle Fretting System (C.F.S.)

Carefully polished and slightly bent frets, mounted on the fingerboard, improve intonation, increase sustain and provide a truly harmonious sounding of each note.

(the frets used are standard, therefore, if service is required, you can easily replace them)

Despite the fact that the radial system of frets is not yet as common as the traditional one, as a result of comprehensive research, we found that C.F.S definitely has a positive effect on the comfort of playing and the sound of stringed instruments, and this effect will satisfy even the most demanding musicians.

The opinion of musicians

Even in the process of developing our revolutionary concept, we received a lot of positive feedback from professional musicians playing in different styles.

The most frequently repeated feedback is that the guitar sounds noticeably cleaner, and the sound of each note becomes legible, which contributes to achieving a richer and more balanced sound both when playing solos and when playing chords. What's more, even when using multiple effects pedals such as overdrive, reverb or chorus, the clarity and intelligibility of each note is maintained!

Some musicians also noted that due to the absence of the need to find the correct position on the fretboard with the fingers, thus compensating for the intonation inaccuracies of the traditional fret system, the hand is much less strained when playing.

Variable neck radius (Compound Radius)

The fretboard on metal-string guitars usually has a certain radius. Its purpose is to provide the musician with comfort while playing. Constant radius necks have become the industry standard in guitar manufacturing and are used in the manufacture of most instruments.

The variable radius is the name of the modern technology of manufacturing the fretboard. The radius gradually increases: from more rounded near the head of the neck to flatter near the body. The Compound Radius technology makes it easy to play chords and provides the convenience of performing solo parts on the upper frets.

We decided to use a 250mm radius near the zero fret for comfort and convenience when playing chords. But, during the transition to the upper frets, such a radius often becomes the cause of unwanted overtones and rattling strings, especially when using bends. This problem, of course, could be solved by increasing the height of the strings, but we did it differently. The 350mm radius around the fifth fingerboard was the perfect solution to the problem. It allows you to perform bends with a string height of less than 1.9 mm and provides incredible comfort when performing solo parts.

FGN Pickups

FGN pickups are designed by Fujigen specialists and manufactured in the best Japanese factories.

We use Alnico5 magnets to make singles. This allows you to achieve a unique sound - a mixture of vintage tone of the 1960s and modern powerful sustain. We slightly weakened the high frequencies, which often sound very harsh and unpleasant to the ear, and strengthened the midrange. The quick response of these pickups will be a real gift for musicians who play blues, fusion, rock and instrumental compositions.

The FGN humbucker has Alnico2 magnets. Its sound is characterized by bright, clean highs and an expressive midrange, and it goes well with singles. The characteristic mix of vintage tone and unique dense sustain will not leave any guitarist indifferent.

2 mini switches

Miniature switches mounted between the volume and tone knobs allow you to activate cutoff mode and the direct output of the humbucker. The cutoff function (switch on the bridge side) on the bridge pickup expands the tonal possibilities of this instrument and allows you to instantly switch between an aggressive humbucker sound and a clean "single" tone. The direct-out switch (on the side of the neck) makes it possible to activate the powerful sound of the humbucker at any time without the participation of "unnecessary" volume and tone knobs.
