When creating the new line of Revstar electric guitars, we were inspired by the design of vintage chopper motorcycles, excellent Japanese audio equipment and Yamaha's half-century heritage in guitar creation. Every detail of every REVSTAR model has been carefully designed to bring you all the uniqueness and individuality of this instrument.

Updated contours and curves of the body, charismatic colors and unique finishes, pickups specially created to reveal the character of this guitar to the maximum... The REVSTAR collection includes instruments as unique as the guitarists who play them. This is the main idea of ​​REVSTAR. The REVSTAR guitar is your other half.

Sounding

Inspired by primal power, REVSTAR's unique sound is both dense and elegant. Yamaha engineers have carefully selected the wood and created the pickups to awaken the internally untamed, yet organic sound of the instrument. As a result, every REVSTAR electric guitar sounds as impressive as it looks.

Pickups

Original REVSTAR pickups were designed from the ground up to maximize the sound of each guitar. During the development process, each model was tested with more than 50 prototype pickups that combine different combinations of wire materials, number of turns, magnets, etc. As a result, optimal characteristics were selected for each model, and this is how the REVSTAR pickups appeared.

Dry Switch

Yamaha's unique Dry Switch, created specifically for the Revstar series, gives you the versatility of cut-off mode, yet creates a sound like nothing you've seen before.

Thanks to the use of a passive filter, the circuit of which has been carefully designed to achieve excellent frequency characteristics, the Dry Switch allows you to get rid of excess rumbling low frequencies. As a result, we have a clean and bright sound, characteristic of singles, but at the same time devoid of annoying background. But that's not all. Because the Dry Switch is essentially a passive filter, it works equally well with both humbuckers and the P90, creating a uniquely versatile sound.

Special mechanics

When creating the REVSTAR mechanics, we were inspired by the design of Café Racer motorcycles, which gained incredible popularity on the streets of London in the 60s. The appearance of REVSTAR guitars is just as unrestrained and individual thanks to specially selected accessories.

From the unique pickup covers and brushed copper pickguard on the REVSTAR Professional to the floating aluminum tail on the RS502T, every detail has been carefully tuned to ensure maximum reliability, comfort and a recognizable Café Racer style.

Convenient profiled body

REVSTAR is a working tool, but this does not mean that any compromises in terms of comfort and ease of play are appropriate here. The body shape was designed from the ground up not only for a great appearance, but also for the convenience of the guitarist. A deep cutout on the back of the body, a subtle curve for the forearm and a new profile of the neck attachment contribute to the ease of access to the high frets. This guitar is built to be played all night long!
