Electric guitar FGN JOS2-TD-EW1-R Odyssey J-Standard Series (Dark Mocha Burst)
Electric guitar FGN JOS2-TD-EW1-R Odyssey J-Standard Series (Dark Mocha Burst)
The Odyssey is the first original FGN guitar. It was designed with Japanese precision and attention to every detail, based on years of experience in guitar manufacturing. These guitars are relatively simple and traditional, but have very useful and practical features for today's musicians.
Alder body with black limba top
Alder has a very balanced sound in the middle and upper registers and is well heard in the mix.
Gotoh pegs
Japanese Gotoh fittings have been used in the manufacture of high-class tools for many years, having proven themselves with high quality of manufacture and good functionality.
Circle Fretting System (CFS)
Carefully polished and slightly bent frets are mounted on the fingerboard, improving intonation, increasing sustain and providing a truly harmonious sounding of each note.
(the used frets are standard, so if you need service, you can easily replace them)
Despite the fact that the radial system of frets is not yet as widespread as the traditional one, as a result of comprehensive research, we found that CFS definitely has a positive effect on the ease of playing and the sound of stringed instruments, and this effect will satisfy even the most demanding musicians.
The opinion of musicians
The guitar sounds noticeably cleaner, and the sound of each note becomes more legible, which contributes to achieving a richer and more balanced sound both when playing solos and when playing chords. What's more, even when using multiple effects pedals such as overdrive, reverb or chorus, the legibility and intelligibility of each note is preserved!
Some musicians also noted that due to the absence of the need to search for the correct position with the fingers on the fretboard, compensating for the intonation inaccuracies of the traditional system of frets, the hand is much less strained when playing.
Multiradius
The fretboard on metal-string guitars usually has a defined radius. Its purpose is to provide the musician with comfort while playing. Constant radius necks have become the industry standard in guitar manufacturing and are used in the manufacture of most instruments.
Compound Radius (Variable Radius) is the name of the advanced manufacturing technology of the fretboard. The radius gradually increases: from more rounded near the head of the neck to flatter near the body. The Compound Radius technology makes it easy to play chords and provides the convenience of leading solo parts on the upper frets.
J-Standard Smooth Fret Edge
The true Japanese meticulousness of FGN's guitar masters ensures that the frets on every J-Standard Series instrument are perfectly fitted and meticulously polished to ensure playability and flawless appearance.
FGN pickups
Newly designed FGN XPERT-Hf mid-range humbuckers and vintage-style OS-2n/OS-2rw single pickups sound great and look great on a black triple-layer pickup.
