Vela is the first journey into an offset body shape for PRS, elegant and edgy. Equipped with a PRS-engineered DS-01 humbucker at the bridge and a single Type-D pickup at the neck, the Vela has a bright, punchy tone that sounds great whether connected through a pedalboard or directly to an amp. A switch on the tone control allows the DS-01 humbuckers to split into separate coils and explore a whole new range of tones. The PRS plate-shaped bridge is equipped with two brass saddles, specially designed for excellent sustain and perfect intonation, so the rhythm and lead sounds on the Vela sound great in any position on the fretboard. In the studio or on stage, you won't want to put this guitar down.
